I received the following e-mail from a friend who is in the military. I agree that prayer is one of the best things we can do but it is not the only thing that we can do for our services right now. If you know someone who is in the military or a family with someone in the service please be bold and reach out to that family, talk to them, run some errands for them, whatever you can do to help out, of course offering Jesus is the biggest help of all to everyone right now!

God Bless You,

David

I have received a prayer request from a friend and wanted to pass it on. It is definitely a critical situation. The prayer request is:

At 10 a.m. this morning I received a prayer request from church. Cathy Mitchell, who attends Spring Hills, called our secretary. Her husband, Tony, is an Air Force Commander in Afghanistan.

She received an urgent email from him this morning. It said, "We need Christians to pray, pray, pray. We're in a Blood Bath here!" Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders. Pass this on to as many as you think will respond.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our ground troops in Afghanistan. There is nothing attached.... Just send this to all the people in your address book. Of all the gifts you could give a

US Soldier, Prayer is the very best one.. Pam Moore

Dear David..

Thank you for posting this. My youngest son is a Marine (not in combat at this time). Living lives are very much on the front lines and at any moment could enter eternity. Also, pray for christian soldiers like my son, to have the opportunity and boldness to share Jesus within their armed forces unit....and for Godly chaplains to minister to the men on the lines and their families back home.
The average age of a soldier is 22 years...they need our prayers so much for what their young eyes see, hear and must do....God grant them courage and peace of mind/heart through a saving relationship with Him.

Regards,
Linda
